Today I have another fun and easy décor tutorial for you! I'm still in the process of redoing our living room but I'm very close to having it finished and once I am I will definitely share pics with you all! But, for now I'm just going to share this project with you that I did the other afternoon while our 6 month old napped and our 6 year old played outside with our lab, Sadie. Or, as I call her, The Shady Lady. Anywho, I painted this pillowcase to sit on top of my cedar chest that I have in our living room. And I absolutely LOVE how it turned out!! P.S. You can purchase these décor stamps in our online shop! :D
Ready? All right, first things first, you're going to need a pillowcase. I purchased this one from Hobby Lobby for $5. You will also need a foam roller and fabric paint. Which I obviously left out of this picture.. sorry about that. I really do try. ;) Lastly, you will need these floral décor stamps. Which I am totally obsessed with!!
After you remove your décor stamps from the packaging just lay them flat on a surface that you don't mind getting paint on. I just used some cardboard. I also used a portion of the cardboard to put some of the fabric paint on and rolled my foam roller through it. You don't want to put too much paint on the roller but you want enough on there that you don't have to use too much pressure when applying the paint to the stamp. You want to be able to gently and lightly apply the paint to the stamp. This helps avoid getting any paint on the edges and into the cut outs that give the stamp beautiful details.
Once you have the paint applied to the stamp just flip over your stamp (paint side down) and put it in the desired position.
Then just apply firm, even pressure all over the stamp.
Remove the stamp and step back to admire your work!
There are 6 different floral stamps included in this set. Repeat the steps above and just simply place each stamp in the desired location. Do this until you have achieved the look you want!
And that's it! So easy! Then you just wash your stamps using soap and water. :) I pretty much love how this turned out! I am so excited with how our living room is coming together - I really can't wait to show you the final product! I will be listing these décor stamps in our online shop very soon!
